But it would appear that Queen Maude’s bargain didn’t go quite as she planned – Galen reveals that the war has gone on for twelve years and has just now ended, as well as leaving Westfalin barely functioning. Moving right along, we skip ahead and meet Galen, a young soldier who is headed to the capital after fighting in the aforementioned war. We also find out that King Under Stone has twelve sons and that he’s made it so that Queen Maude will have twelve daughters and plans on one day forcing them to marry his sons. ![]() We find out that not only has she promised to dance for him for twelve years in order to have children, but that she also has promised an additional twelve years of dancing to ensure that Westfalin wins a war.
